Our Mission

To provide the agents of W. R. Berkley Corporation regional companies and selected other agents with solutions in placing their E&S risk needs by offering convenience, competitive prices and access to many superior markets.

How We are Different

Regional Excess Underwriters does not assume risk. Instead, we are a broker that serves the independent agents of W. R. Berkley Corporation regional companies and selected other agents. We place business both as a general agent (GA) and wholesale broker, and have the ability to place business with carriers both inside and outside the W. R. Berkley group.

We offer responsive and personalized service regardless of market cycle. All submissions are sent out promptly and our knowledgeable staff is always available to help meet our agents' needs.

Regional Excess Underwriters is licensed in all 50 states as an agent and surplus lines broker. Our business is distributed through the retail agents of W. R. Berkley Corporation regional companies and other selected agents.
